Lia Swope Mitchell is a writer and translator from Minneapolis, with a PhD in French from the University of Minnesota. Her fiction has appeared in Asimov’s, Apex, Shimmer, Terraform, and Cosmos, among other places. Her translation of Georges Didi-Huberman’s Survival of the Fireflies was released as part of the Univocal series at the University of Minnesota Press in September 2018. Her translation of Antoine Volodine’s post-exotic novel Alto Solo, titled Solo Viola in English, is forthcoming in February of 2021.
